In 2008 LOSS unveiled on the international festival circuit and won
Best Director (Maris Martinsons) and Best Music (Andrius Mamontovas) Awards at the A class Shanghai International Film Festival.

 This is the first Lithuanian feature film ever to be submitted for the
 Foreign language Oscar (2008).  This year the film has also been submitted for the Golden Globe competition.

Desperate for a better life, Valda arrives in Ireland penniless, but hoping to start a new life for herself and her young son, who she left behind in Lithuania. While struggling to support herself, she finds out her son has been adopted by Nora, a childless ex-wife of businessman Ben whose life is collapsing. Valda is now caught in a struggle with Ben’s ex-mistress Laima and has to fight for the custody of a child who is her only hope in life…

Limited number of seats is available. At the beginning of the film, reserved seats that are not occupied will be offered to other guests.
